Frequently asked questions

Where does the data on FGWizards come from?

Every entry is read from the Federal Register API, filtered to Title 48 of the Code of Federal Regulations and the agencies that issue the FAR, DFARS and the civilian agency supplements. We publish the government's own title, action and abstract text and link the original document; we do not rewrite the rule.

How current is the register?

It is rebuilt on a nightly schedule and every page shows the date and time of the last successful refresh. If that refresh ever fails past its freshness window, the page displays a visible staleness notice instead of serving old data silently.

Is FGWizards legal advice?

No. FGWizards reports what changed in the acquisition regulations, when it takes effect and when comments close. It does not advise on whether a rule applies to your specific contract, and using the site does not create an attorney-client relationship. See the Terms for the full statement.

What does FGWizards Tracker Access cost?

It is $99 one-time, a one-time payment. The price is shown before you pay. It unlocks the full change history and email change alerts for every new FAR, DFARS and agency-supplement change; the recent register stays free to browse.

How do I reset my password?

Use the “Forgot your password?” link on the login page. We email a single-use reset link that expires in 60 minutes.

Who runs FGWizards?

FGWizards is owned and operated by GCExperts LLC, which is responsible for the service and its content. FGWizards is an independent service and is not affiliated with any government agency.

Reporting, not advice

FGWizards reports what changed in the federal acquisition regulations, when a change takes effect and when comments close. It does not tell you whether a rule applies to your specific contract, and nothing here is legal advice or creates an attorney-client relationship. Always read the linked primary source and consult a qualified professional for your own situation.
